The text never leaves the European Union.

An unpublished manuscript is someone else's work and someone else's money. We protect it at every stage: from submission, through analysis, to the report in your panel.

What we never do with your texts

  • Storage by model providers
  • Training on your texts
  • Content monitoring

The questions we hear most often.

001 Does Vellam Pro replace an editor?

No. It takes on the mechanical part of pre-screening: reading the whole text, breaking it down into dimensions, checking consistency and structure. The publishing decision and the conversation with the author stay with your editor.

002 How quickly do we see results?

Analysing a novel of up to 100,000 words usually takes two to five minutes. You can watch the progress live and keep working in the meantime.

003 How does the AI content detector work?

It shows a single percentage: how much of the manuscript looks like it was written by a generator. It also recognises text that has been run through humanising tools and underlines the suspect sentences.

004 How does the rights catalogue work?

Publishers list the rights to their titles, and other publishers send enquiries straight from the panel. No hunting for contacts and no emails into the void.

005 Do you train models on our manuscripts?

No. Manuscripts are the publisher's private data and we keep them only for the duration of an active project. We sign an NDA on request.

006 Where is our data processed?

In the European Union. Storage and the analysis of the text by models both take place in the EU. Model providers do not store the text and do not monitor content.

007 Which formats do you accept?

.docx, .pdf and .txt, up to 5 MB. The file should have chapter headings in the form “Chapter 1”, because we read the text chapter by chapter.

008 How long does setup take and how do we pay?

You create the account yourselves, in a few minutes. The panel runs in the browser, with no installation and no integration. You are billed monthly, by invoice.
